The Story Behind One Soul Sanctuary
Hi, we’re Onae + Drew.
And this is something we’ve dreamed about for a long time.

One Soul Sanctuary began with a simple idea:
What if there were a place you could just come?
A place to take a breath.
To hear beautiful music.
To experience something that moves you.
To learn. To create. To pray. To heal.
To meet people you may never have met otherwise.
A place where you didn’t have to believe exactly what everyone else believed—or have everything figured out—to feel like you belonged.
A place for a different kind of worship.
Whether you go to church, have your own spiritual practice, or are still discovering what you believe, this could be another place to connect with the Divine—to pray, question, listen, and simply be.
We wanted that place.
So we decided to create it.
Why One Soul Sanctuary
Between the two of us, our lives have moved through a lot of different worlds.
Music and spirituality.
Teaching and healing.
Marriage and divorce.
Grief and joy.
Starting over and finding each other.
Blending a family and welcoming new life.
And through all of it, we kept coming back to something very simple:
People need people.
We need places where we can put down our phones and actually look at each other.
We need music. We need laughter. We need quiet.
We need places where it’s okay to ask big questions, explore our spirituality, learn something new, create something beautiful—or simply sit beside another human being and remember that we’re not doing life alone.
That is our hope for One Soul Sanctuary.
From Onae
My spiritual life has always been a search for something deeper—who we are, why we are here, and how we find our way back to center when life pulls us away from it.
Over the years, I’ve explored many spiritual practices and ways of connecting with God. I’ve studied spirituality, consciousness, meditation, energy and sound healing, and again and again, I find myself returning to the teachings of Jesus—to love, compassion, forgiveness, faith, and service.
I’m a writer, energy worker, certified sound healing practitioner with a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in Cross-Disciplinary Studies from Nova Southeastern University.
But some of my greatest teachers have simply been life itself.
Motherhood. Divorce. Grief. Love. Losing my brother. Beginning again. Blending a family. And this year, welcoming our beautiful son into the world—a reminder that after seasons of loss, there can also be extraordinary joy and new life.
And Drew.
Finding him has been one of the great gifts of my life. His music has moved me, inspired me, and deepened my own connection with God. I’ve always wished more people could experience what I experience when he plays—not simply his music, but the soul behind it. His heart. His depth. The powerful person I am blessed to know and love.
In many ways, One Soul Sanctuary was born from the meeting of our two souls—my love of healing, spirituality, and the human experience, and Drew’s love of music, teaching, and bringing people together.
Life has taught me that when everything becomes too loud, I have to return to my center.
To my soul. To prayer. To God.
In so many ways, I feel like my whole life has been leading me here.
My hope is that when you walk through our doors, something in you exhales—and when you leave, you carry a little more light with you.

What We’re Creating Together
We don’t want One Soul Sanctuary to be about us.
We want it to be about what happens here.
A sound healing or meditation that helps someone finally become still.
A child discovering that they love making music.
A conversation over tea between two people who arrived as strangers.
A teacher sharing something they’ve spent years learning.
A worship song that reaches someone differently because of what they’re going through.
A workshop that opens someone’s mind.
A quiet walk.
A laugh.
A friendship.
A moment someone didn’t know they needed.
Some experiences will be ours. Others will come from teachers, healers, musicians, practitioners, and people within our community who have something meaningful to share.
One Soul Sanctuary isn’t meant to hold one person’s way of seeing the world.
It’s a place for many paths, many teachers, many experiences—and one community.
Why “One Soul”?
We believe the soul is the immaterial essence of who we are—the part beneath our roles, responsibilities, accomplishments, circumstances, and all the noise of everyday life.
And sometimes, especially during the hardest seasons, life has a way of calling us back to it.
To ask:
Who am I, really?
Why am I here?
What matters to me?
Where am I being led next?
Sometimes finding our way forward means becoming quiet enough to hear what our own soul has been trying to tell us.
But One Soul means something else to us, too.
Throughout our lives, we encounter people who change us.
Sometimes it takes only one soul.
One teacher who sees something in you.
One friend who arrives at exactly the right time.
One conversation that changes what you believe is possible.
One love that changes the direction of your life.
Some encounters last a moment. Others last a lifetime.
And some feel almost impossible to call coincidence.
We believe there are souls we are meant to encounter along the way. And when we create places where people can genuinely gather, we create space for those encounters to happen.
That is the heart behind One Soul Sanctuary.
A sanctuary for your soul—a place to become still enough to remember who you are and what you’re here for.
And a gathering place for the souls you haven’t met yet—the people, teachers, friends, and unexpected connections that may become part of your story.
Because you never know which experience will change you.
You never know which conversation will stay with you.
And you never know when one soul might change the course of your life. And maybe you’re that soul for someone else.
Welcome to the Sanctuary.
